Survey types
Choose the level of inspection you need
Not every damp company offers the same level of inspection or reporting. Survey enquiries are only sent to specialists who have told us they carry out that specific type of survey.
Specific Damp Problem Survey
Typically £150 - £350
Investigation of a particular damp patch, wall, room or moisture-related concern.
Damp & Mould Survey
Typically £200 - £450
Investigation of dampness, condensation, humidity, ventilation and mould growth.
Damp & Timber Survey
Typically £250 - £550
Assessment of dampness alongside accessible structural timbers for evidence of decay, wood-boring insects or other timber defects.
Basement / Waterproofing Survey
Typically £300 - £750
Investigation of below-ground dampness, water ingress and waterproofing requirements.
Condensation & Ventilation Survey
Typically £180 - £400
Assessment of condensation, internal humidity, ventilation provision and associated mould problems.
Pre-Purchase Damp Survey
Typically £250 - £500
Specialist investigation of damp concerns before purchasing a property.
Pre-Purchase Damp & Timber Survey
Typically £350 - £750
More comprehensive inspection of accessible areas for dampness, timber decay, woodworm and associated property preservation defects.
Full Property Damp & Timber Survey
Typically £450 - £1,200
A comprehensive inspection of the property rather than one isolated problem.
Second Opinion / Existing Survey Investigation
Typically £200 - £500
For customers who have received a HomeBuyer Report, Building Survey or another damp company's report and want specialist investigation or an independent second opinion.

Profiles distinguish between the following, so you are not matched with a contractor who only quotes for treatment when you wanted an independent inspection and report.
