How We Vet Specialists
We only describe a company as verified where we have actually completed and continue to maintain the checks listed below. Where a check is outstanding, the profile says so.
Company identity
We confirm the trading name, registered address and the person we are dealing with.
Companies House information
Where the business is a registered company we check the company number, status and directors.
Public liability insurance
We ask for a current certificate and record the expiry date. Cover must be in place to remain listed.
Relevant qualifications
Damp and timber qualifications such as CSRT, CSTDB and CSSW are checked against the issuing body where possible.
Industry memberships
PCA, TrustMark and similar memberships are checked directly with the scheme.
Trading history
We record how long the business has traded in damp and property preservation work.
Customer reviews
Reviews are collected from customers whose enquiries came through the platform.
Service specialisms
Companies must provide relevant damp, timber, waterproofing, ventilation or preservation services.
